Balkan food was made for sharing. Big plates in the middle of the table, everyone reaching in, someone always saying “take more”. If you’re feeding a group, here’s how to order without guessing.
Ćevapi: count by the person
Ćevapi are easy to plan because they come by the piece.
- Light eaters and kids: about 5 each
- Most adults: about 10 each
- Big appetites: 10 to 15 each
We sell ćevapi in sets of 5, 10, 15 and 20. For a group, it’s easiest to add up sets of 20. For example, a family of six adults might get three sets of 20, which gives everyone about ten.
Pita: count by the piece
Our pita is $9.99 per piece, and a piece is a good lunch for one person. If pita is the main dish, plan on one piece each. If you’re also ordering ćevapi, one piece for every two people is usually plenty.
Mix the fillings. Get some spinach, some cheese and some potato so there’s something for everyone.
Don’t forget the bread
Kifle at $2.50 each and hamburger buns at $1.50 each are great for filling out a table. The buns also make a quick ćevapi sandwich for the kids.
Something sweet for after
A tray of sweets makes any get together feel like a celebration.
- Baklava, $5.00
- Tres leches cake, $6.00
- Banana chocolate chip loaf, $2.00 a slice
- Chocolate croissants, $7.00
